  • Webinar: Using APM to Turbocharge Continuous Integration

Webinar: Using APM to Turbocharge Continuous Integration

Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery have dramatically accelerated the rate of innovation within both large and small organizations – allowing teams to build and deploy software faster than ever before.

Yet, as release automation accelerates the volume, variety and velocity of application changes, an entirely new set of challenges have appeared. Let’s state the obvious here – DevOps, empowered by continuous integration and delivery, doesn’t merely end at deployment. In fact, the fun is just getting started.

Part of the mission for today’s IT monitoring teams relates to tracking build numbers, status, success, failure and the rest. Yet, if 80% of application performance problems can be tied to some environmental change, clearly, there’s more to the story.

In this webinar we’ll discuss these issues and more, along with some of the relevant capabilities supported via the integration of CA Technologies Application Performance Management and the CloudBees Jenkins automation platform. Join us to hear first-hand how tying together APM and release automation can help identify and remediate changes that impact applications performance, turbocharging the software pipeline.

  • VictorOps Unveils New Integration Hub and Integration Guarantee Program

VictorOps Unveils New Integration Hub and Integration Guarantee Program

Expanding integration offerings deliver ease of use per customer demand

BOULDER, Colo. – November 30, 2016 – VictorOps, the real-time incident management company, today announced its new Integration Hub and Integration Guarantee to support new and existing customers as they onboard and expand their usage of the product. Further, the Integration Guarantee Program ensures that any and all monitoring solutions not already included in the Integration Hub can be integrated with the VictorOps product for new and existing customers.

In the incident management space, technology integrations are vital for busy, overwhelmed on-call teams. Everyday, these teams are inundated with hundreds of alerts, and when dealing with multiple, non-integrated solutions, it becomes increasingly difficult for on-call teams to navigate and manage the noise. Further, engineers are constantly leveraging new tools in the build, deploy and monitoring spaces that provide valuable insight into incident remediation, most of which come with the ability to send a webhook that is seldom efficiently utilized.

“In a field plagued by burn-out, we want to do everything we can to improve the lives of those on-call through efficient incident management,” said Joni Klippert, VP of Product, VictorOps. “The Integration Hub and the Integration Guarantee Program will make it easier for our customers to leverage a wide variety of monitoring and alerting products – including those important to the entire software delivery lifecycle – providing unparalleled access to contextual information for each alert and further streamlining the on-call process regardless of role. All our customers have to do is ask for those integrations that will make their jobs easier, and we can make it happen.”

Through best-in-class partnerships, the Integration Hub provides a rich ecosystem that connects, extends and enhances the VictorOps solution. These integrations extend the functionality of the platform by enriching alerts within VictorOps, and making the VictorOps Timeline more contextual and visual.

“We’re thrilled to be one of the first partners included in the VictorOps Integration Hub,” said Nate Heinrich, Senior Product Manager, New Relic. “We strive to ensure our customers are able to resolve any issues with their digital businesses quickly and efficiently. Through our integration with VictorOps, New Relic Alerts will detect issues and send them to the VictorOps platform taking advantage of their flexible routing rules and ensuring that the right person is not just quickly notified, but also supplied with critical context in order to resolve the issue at hand.”

“The integration between Rackspace’s Rackspace Monitoring and VictorOps has been a smooth, expedient process, and it has helped us provide a more complete solution to manage our customers’ infrastructure,” said Shane Duan, Product Manager, Rackspace Monitoring & Metrics, “With Rackspace Monitoring focused on collecting metrics and sending alerts, it makes perfect sense to leverage VictorOps’ capability to combine people and data for improved results across the board.”

Other examples of integrations found in the Integration Hub include:

  • VictorOps Announces $12 Million Series B Funding

Investment to support accelerated customer growth based on significant wins over competitors

BOULDER, Colo. – November 30, 2016 – VictorOps, the real-time incident management company, today announced the first close of $12.2 million of its Series B investment round led by new investor Shea Ventures along with existing investors Foundry Group and Costanoa Venture Capital participating.

As DevOps adoption grows across the enterprise, many Fortune 100 companies are looking to  build a culture of uptime company wide. As such, VictorOps has seen accelerated customer growth and has experienced significant wins against more traditional industry competitors. Specifically in the last year alone, the number of customers have increased by 64 percent with a growth in monthly revenue of 175 percent.

“Even five years ago, businesses were simply looking for basic alerting platforms that would notify IT workers of infrastructure problems,” said Todd Vernon, CEO and Co-founder, VictorOps. “However, today progressive enterprises have realized that software development velocity is directly tied to the ability to push code into production faster and remediate problems in real-time. Maintaining uptime has now become a team sport, meaning that regardless of who’s in charge when problems arise (IT Operations, Developers or NOC managers) VictorOps offers a way to automate the entire alerting and remediation process.”

The Series B funding will help to support the company’s growth and continued traction with enterprise level customers. Many new customers have been unsatisfied with IT alerting tools and are realizing there is a better, more comprehensive solution available. VictorOps provides teams with a virtual environment where they can prepare for, react to and recover from, and document, each incident regardless of location or device.

“In the modern enterprise, software plays a central role,” said Nancy Gohring, senior analyst, application and infrastructure performance, for 451 Research. “As such, uptime is critical for businesses that want to remain competitive, driving demand for tools that can help with incident management and with reducing the time it takes to repair problems.”

“VictorOps has shown an amazing track record of attracting customers from a wide variety of industries, and supporting them as they adopt tooling to support their Agile and DevOps practices. We were impressed by the depth of market knowledge the team at VictorOps possessed and the win rates against more conventional industry competitors.  This is a very fast moving market and vision will be a key asset to the eventual winner in the space.”  said Jason Schoettler, Managing Director, Shea Ventures. “VictorOps shows a solid track record of finding the innovators in companies such as Snap Inc. (Snapchat), Qualtrics, and NCR.”
