  • Atomist SDM 1.0 Is Released, Enabling Software Defined Delivery

San Francisco – Nov 21, 2018 – Atomist, the software delivery automation company, today announced the release of Software Delivery Machine (SDM) 1.0. Three months ago, the company open-sourced SDM and made the engine for automating software delivery available to every developer globally. SDM has now been widely deployed by developers and companies around the globe, enabling teams to modernize their software delivery, gain greater visibility and control, and helped developers take control over their own delivery experience.

“Atomist has been our delivery automation platform for over a year. Now, with SDM, we’re using it to automate deployment all the way through staging and integration to prod. We’re very excited to see SDM 1.0 ship,” said Brian Conneen, CIO/CTO Marlette Funding

Atomist SDM, the first software delivery machine, arrives at 1.0 signaling the maturity of the project and includes feature updates and enhancements created in response to community feedback. SDM now includes enhanced approvals, an extension pack model, and log streaming, in addition to further enhancements to Goals, the fundamental action in SDM. SDM 1.0 also includes built-in goals for inspecting and fixing common coding issues, performing Docker builds and deploying to common targets like Kubernetes.

“The big idea of SDM is that actions like builds or deployments should be driven from events and defined in code rather than a cringe worthy mix of YAML definitions and Bash scripts typical of legacy CI/CD tools. The SDM provides a framework for developing delivery and the runtime for executing it,” said Christian Dupuis, VP Engineering

Similar to business applications, software delivery must continuously evolve to provide developers the tools they need. Modern applications drive new requirements for modern delivery approaches. With SDM, Atomist makes those tools available to improve and evolve software delivery for everyone.

“We are extremely excited about the progress of the SDM project, and helping as many software teams as possible. We look forward to the next phase of SDM, with participation from the community, our fellow developers, and the ever-growing list of SDM users who put automation to the test every day,” said Rod Johnson, Atomist CEO and co-founder. “Developers deserve a better way to deliver, defined in code and supremely programmable. This is our mission and we look forward to building the future of delivery and automation with developers.”

“The core of what SDM enables – integrated, engineered, event-driven delivery – is foundational to what I call progressive delivery. Modern software delivery is changing dramatically. Engineering the delivery of software is now strategic. Atomist is paving the way toward better delivery. SDM 1.0 is a hugely important milestone on that path,” said James Governor, co-founder Redmonk.

The Atomist SDM 1.0 is available now from https://github.com/atomist/sdm. The Atomist subscription service is available free of charge to open source projects. For more information, visit atomist.com.

  • Delphix Bolsters Executive Team to Support Surging Global Demand for DataOps

New Chief Marketing Officer and First-Ever Global Practice Director for Data Transformation join Delphix to help enterprises around the world accelerate digital innovation

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., November 16, 2018 – Delphix, the company enabling the largest enterprises in the world to accelerate digital innovation through DataOps, today announced a significant expansion to its executive team with the addition of Monika Saha as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Sanjeev Sharma to lead its newly-established “Data Transformation” team. In use by nearly one-half of Fortune 50 global leaders, Delphix is bringing on these seasoned executives to help scale operations to meet the increased demands of today’s burgeoning DataOps market, which Gartner expects to hit the mainstream in five years.

Rapid and secure access to data is a tremendous bottleneck for companies that are in a race to monetize new digital services and deliver personalized experiences to customers. The friction between an organization’s obligation to maintain compliance with data security and privacy regulations, and the need to quickly and simply feed crucial digital initiatives with the right data is slowing companies down. It is also inhibiting adoption of emerging technologies like advanced machine learning and AI to drive deeper understanding of customer behavior. This friction is leading to an emerging data management practice called DataOps, recently recognized by Gartner as one of its new “innovation triggers” in its data management and security Hype Cycles. In a soon-to-be-released new report, 451 analyst Matt Aslett found that 86 percent of IT leaders surveyed intend to implement DataOps initiatives to improve cloud migration, address security concerns and boost innovation.

“In a world where the fast eat the slow, every single industry is in a race to develop and monetize digitally-enabled services in the market faster and faster each day,” said Chris Cook, CEO, Delphix. “Monika and Sanjeev bring with them decades of experiences in building brands and categories. They will be integral to Delphix as we enter the next phase of our journey and take our DataOps platform to more enterprises around the world.”

An 18 year veteran of the Software/SaaS space, Monika Saha joins Delphix after nearly decade at Zuora, where she was most recently the GM of Zuora’s Finance product line. During her time at Zuora, she held multiple leadership roles across sales, marketing, and product management and led a number of initiatives that propelled Zuora from an early stage Series B funded start-up through its successful IPO in 2018. She was instrumental in crafting Zuora’s leading market position in Forrester’s now-established “Recurring Customer and Billing Management” and IDC’s “Subscription Relationship Management” category, each of which serve as proof points of Zuora’s evangelism of the rise of the Subscription Economy(R).

At Delphix, she will be responsible for shaping and influencing the company’s position in the market, leading the company’s global corporate and product marketing functions, and helping bring Delphix to the largest data-driven enterprises in the world across banking, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, and other key vertical industries.

“Enterprises today are confronted with the dual challenge of accelerating digital innovation in a climate of unprecedented market disruption, while at the same time facing an increased burden of keeping up with a growing number of data security and compliance regulations”, said Monika Saha, Delphix CMO. “The intersection of these competing forces has created a strong demand for Delphix. Some of the largest brands in the world today rely on the Delphix Dynamic Data Platform to accelerate the pace at which they are delivering and monetizing new services without compromising on the security and privacy standards that govern the very data that fuels their innovation and livelihood.”

Sanjeev Sharma is a best-selling author of “DevOps Adoption Playbook” and joins Delphix as its first-ever Global Practice Director for Data Transformation. For the past two decades, Sanjeev worked at tech giants IBM and Rational Software as an executive and Distinguished Engineer on his way to becoming a foremost authority on the issues of digital transformation, DevOps and the cloud. In this newly established role at Delphix, he will be tasked with helping enterprise organizations leverage data and DataOps practices and technologies to accelerate mission-critical transformation initiatives. An early pioneer in the DevOps movement, Sharma will play a lead role in helping to define the burgeoning DataOps category and build out its ecosystem.

“We are in the midst of a massive IT shift, driven by three main forces: application modernization, cloud adoption, and AI and machine learning. Data sits at the core of this shift as major bottleneck to achieving the speed and scale needed to get ahead in an increasingly digital world,” said Sanjeev Sharma, Global Practice Director for Data Transformation at Delphix. “DataOps is the next frontier of this IT transformation and will help more organizations around the world unlock the power of data to accelerate innovation and win in today’s modern IT landscape.”

  • Collaboration is up but automation may not be delivering on its promise as people remain a key software QA investment

DevOps is changing the role of testing yet 66% struggle with merely deciding what to test

Hackensack, NJ –   NOVEMBER 15, 2018 – New data from Panaya suggests the role and scope of quality assurance is evolving, and today’s digital transformation efforts may be seeing bigger gains from human capital than automating processes. This is according to a recent survey of senior enterprise IT decision makers in the U.K. and U.S. for their thoughts on quality assurance and software testing.

There is no question the adoption of Agile methodologies and DevOps has shifted development away from traditional silos, but as the role of QA moves closer to the end user, the definition of testers has changed, illustrated by these key findings:

    • Struggle testing faster with quality, clarity: 90% find testing faster, while achieving better quality, is problematic. As much as two-thirds (66%) are still stumped by what to test.
    • Impact of DevOps on testing: 53% see testers focusing more on quality when asked how it will change over the next three years. This is up 13% compared to a similar Panaya survey conducted in 2017.
    • Greatest effect Agile has on testing: Collaboration is key as 28% said testers are working more closely with developers and other team members, and 20% note test teams are now involved earlier in the project lifecycle.
    • Automation still low: 61% say they automate 50% or less of their functional testing, 47% only automate up to 40% and just under a third (32%) automate up to 30% of tests.
    • Correlation for Risk-based Testing emerges: Deciding what to test and the benefits of risk-based testing (RBT) is intertwined as 32% find RBT improves efficiency, helping to better allocate test efforts, and 26% see it improving shift-left efforts with earlier detection of issues.

When peeling back the layers, the amount of functional testing automated in today’s organizations is a key indicator of the increasing importance and investment in human involvement in the QA process. While this is often considered a way to reduce costs in the QA process, a clear majority demonstrated a surprising level of support for the manual process.

Likewise, highlighting the correlation between deciding what to test and the benefits associated with RBT in today’s organizations is enlightening. As testing moves closer to the end user, RBT is more than just a way to improve efficiently and reduce costs, its helping create better user experiences.

“Despite threats of artificial intelligence and automation, greater collaboration and investment on the human side of QA is an area helping to encourage more positive differentiation,” said Rafi Kretchmer, chief marketing officer at Panaya. “The companies that see this are making the investment to get them past the QA bottleneck without sacrificing velocity or quality.”

“Risk-based testing offers a variety of key benefits, but by helping solve the issue of what to test, organizations can better allocate test efforts, eliminating wasted time and expenses testing what is out of scope,” continued Kretchmer.

Panaya Test Dynamix, a test acceleration platform helping organizations speed testing processes for all stakeholders, helps solve these issues and more through one unified platform. Designed with the needs of all stakeholders in mind, the intuitive UI enables technical and business users to adopt the same testing platform to gain real-time visibility over all test cycles. Through standardized testing processes, built-in collaboration and communication functions, including risk-based testing, Test Dynamix can improve overall software quality while effectively reduced overall testing efforts by 30 to 50%.

Since 2008, over 2,000 companies in 62 countries, including a third of the Fortune 500, have used Panaya to delivery quick quality change to enterprise applications. Customers are from a variety of sectors including automotive, pharmaceutical, retail, manufacturing and more.

The survey was conducted by Vanson Bourne in August 2018 and polled over 300 Enterprise IT decision makers in the U.S. and U.K. For more information on how Panaya TDx can help your organization, visit: www.panaya.com/product/test-dynamix.

  • Instana Adds Automatic Python Instrumentation and Tracing

Company’s Automatic APM Solution First to Automatically Trace Python Applications

SOLINGEN, GERMANY, AND SAN MATEO, CALIF. – NOVEMBER 15, 2018

Instana, the first monitoring solution to fully automate all aspects of application performance monitoring (APM), today became the first APM solution to provide automated zero-touch instrumentation for Python application and service visibility. Instana’s AutoTrace™ technology has been extended to Python to automatically trace distributed application requests through Python services.

“Application monitoring is no longer just about visibility into one or two programming languages,” said Fabian Lange, co-founder and VP of Engineering at Instana. “Instana’s goal is to take the instrumentation burden off of developers creating microservices using a polyglot of languages so they can focus on coding their business logic. AutoTrace further enhances monitoring automation to provide a zero-touch method of gathering traces for every single application request.”

Automatic monitoring allows DevOps to optimize their application and service delivery, ultimately increasing their CI/CD speed. Instana’s Automatic APM solution for dynamic applications automates the full management lifecycle of critical business applications, especially those running in cloud, containers, microservices or serverless environments. Instana’s solution automatically monitors, visualizes and understands application performance for dynamic containerized microservice applications.

Instana’s release now makes automatic instrumentation available for Python, Java, Scala, Kotlin, Clojure, .NET and PHP, enabling 100% zero touch visibility into these languages. To instrument in Ruby, Crystal, Go and Node.js, users simply add 1 line of code. After instrumentation is enabled, AutoTrace takes over, tracing every request across the entire application – service to service, platform to platform – and analyzed to give actionable information needed to solve application performance issues.

“Automating monitoring results in a strong ROI, especially for organizations that embrace CI/CD, where it’s critical to keep the process flowing smoothly,” said Pete Abrams, Instana COO. “Manually configuring code instrumentation or having developers write monitoring code is time consuming and takes developers away from their primary mission of building new business services. That’s why Instana continues to invest in automation technology.”

Instana’s automatic Python code instrumentation is available today at https://instana.com/trial/ where users can try the solution free for a limited time.

  • SignalFx Delivers Next Generation of Application Performance Monitoring The first to enable directed troubleshooting for applications and microservices

November 15, 2018 — San Mateo, CA – SignalFx, the leader in real-time cloud monitoring for infrastructure, microservices, and applications, today unveiled SignalFx Microservices APM, the industry’s first real-time application performance monitoring solution designed to accelerate troubleshooting for DevOps teams through advanced real-time analytics, instantly identifying problems wherever they may lie.

Powered by the NoSample™ distributed tracing architecture, SignalFx Microservices APM observes every single transaction — not just a small random sample — and reports on every anomaly. With the new Outlier Analyzer™, the most challenging issues can now be pinpointed and resolved with a single click.

SignalFx Microservices APM is built on top of SignalFx’s advanced streaming analytics platform for metrics which applies unsurpassed data science in real-time to identify the root cause of the most critical application problems. Advanced automation workflows can remediate issues in seconds.

“Microservices have changed the game for companies, allowing them to move faster by breaking up applications into modules that can be developed and changed independently.  A consequence is that it is now exponentially more difficult to identify and triage problems as they span hundred of services and evolve rapidly,” said Arijit Mukherji, Chief Technology Officer of SignalFx. “SignalFx Microservices APM is the only end-to-end monitoring solution designed to tackle this problem head-on, dramatically reducing mean time to repair by enabling instant troubleshooting.”

Traditional APM systems are not designed to handle the scale, complexity and dynamic nature of today’s microservices environments. The probabilistic sampling and batch processing approach worked for legacy monolithic applications, but falls short in a microservices world leaving developers in the dark and customers frustrated.

“The world happens in real-time and if something goes wrong, finding problems minutes later just doesn’t cut it,” said Karthik Rau, CEO and Founder of SignalFx.  “Customers expect technology and applications to just work.  Their tolerance for failure is next to zero with the value of their brand held in the balance.”

“The collateral damage of disappointing customers far outstrips and outlasts the monetary impact. People remember,” said Trevor Rundell, Director of Engineering at Drift. “The key to keeping our customers happy is finding the root cause of the problem and fixing it — preferably before they even notice.

“Being able to capture 100% of traces is very important to us.  SignalFx NoSample architecture means we no longer have to ‘hope we can find the problem’ because now we ‘know we will find the problem,’” Rundell said.

Adam Nutt, Engineering Manager at Nike said, “With SignalFx Microservices APM we now have all the traces we need to immediately get to the root cause of any problem. That means more successful product launches — and happier customers.”

Next Generation of Real-Time Cloud Monitoring

The SignalFx Real-Time Cloud Monitoring Platform for Infrastructure, Microservices, and Applications is unique in Four Key Areas:

    • Flexible, open instrumentation – SignalFx makes it easy to ingest metrics, traces and events from any source across the stack. DevOps can flexibly use the best tool for the job choosing from a wide range of supported instrumentation options – APIs, Smart Agent, Telemetry Adapters, Function Wrappers, Code Auto-instrumentation. SignalFx instrumentation is based on open standards (such as collectd, statsd for metrics and OpenTracing, OpenCensus, Zipkin for distributed tracing) and therefore agnostic to how developers choose to collect data. Thanks to 150+ pre-built integrations and the auto-discovery and auto-configuration capabilities of the SignalFx Smart Agent™, Ops teams can start monitoring popular systems in minutes.
    • Real-time problem detection – SignalFx is the only cloud monitoring solution based on a streaming metrics architecture with mutable metadata. Thanks to this unique SignalFlow™ architecture, SignalFx delivers consistent low-latency problem detection and high-resolution visualization (1 sec metrics) — even in high-cardinality use cases typical of digital business applications. In today’s digital economy, companies cannot afford to wait minutes for their monitoring solution to identify and alert on a problem anywhere in the stack. Anomalous conditions have to be identified in real-time, and alerts have to fire in seconds to avoid impacting revenue and the customer experience. The SignalFx streaming architecture is the only platform capable of detecting problems in seconds no matter the amount of data generated by modern, short-lived infrastructure and distributed microservices.
    • Directed troubleshooting– SignalFx shortens problem resolution in a microservices environment by capturing all anomalies and directly assisting the operator during the triage process. Thanks to its unique NoSample architecture, SignalFx observes every transaction and identifies every anomaly via a complete view of system behavior over time. Through features like Outlier Analyzer, SignalFx applies powerful analytics that guide DevOps to the root cause of issues in seconds.
    • Built for DevOps velocity– SignalFx is an API-driven solution, designed to be easily integrated with the DevOps toolchain. Every aspect and functionality of the platform can be controlled and programmed through code leveraging well-defined APIs. This enables SRE teams to be more productive by automating monitoring services through code.

    What Analysts are Saying

SAN JOSE, Calif. – November 15, 2018 – Nutanix, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTNX), a leader in enterprise cloud computing, today announced the findings of its first annual global Enterprise Cloud Index, measuring enterprise plans for adopting private, hybrid and public clouds.* The new report found enterprises plan to increase hybrid cloud usage, with 91% stating hybrid cloud as the ideal IT model, but only 18% stating they have that model today. The findings also revealed that application mobility across any cloud is a top priority for 97% of respondents – with 88% of respondents saying it would “solve a lot of my problems.” Additionally, the report found public cloud is not a panacea; IT decision makers ranked matching applications to the right cloud environment as a critical capability, and 35% of organizations using public clouds overspent their annual budget. When asked to rank the primary benefits of hybrid cloud, interoperability between cloud types (23%) and the ability to move applications back and forth between clouds (16%) outranked cost (6%) and security (5%) as the primary benefits.

Nutanix commissioned Vanson Bourne to survey IT decision makers about where they are running their business applications today, where they plan to run them in the future, challenges in setting up their cloud environments and how their cloud initiatives stack up against other IT projects and priorities. The survey resulted in approximately 2,300 respondents from multiple industries, business sizes and geographies in the Americas; Europe, the Middle East, Africa (EMEA); and Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) regions.

In roles centered on agility and digital transformation, IT teams understand that runtime environments for enterprise apps change constantly. Respondents indicated a need for greater orchestration and application mobility across cloud environments, as they seek flexibility to move apps to the “right” cloud on a more dynamic basis.  In addition, shadow IT practices that circumvent enterprise IT teams are posing a significant challenge to forecasting and controlling public cloud spend with well over half of respondents (57%) reporting one or more incidents of shadow IT.

Other key findings of the report include:

    • Hybrid cloud better addresses business needs over single public cloud, including the price tag: 87% of respondents said that hybrid cloud as an IT trend is having a  positive impact on their businesses, and more hybrid cloud users reported all their needs were being met (49%) compared to single public cloud users (37%). Furthermore, organizations that use public cloud spend 26% of their annual IT budget on public cloud.  Perhaps most striking is the fact that only 6% using public cloud came in under budget, while nearly six times as many (35%) overspent in their use of public cloud resources
    • Security is top of mind for determining workloads: 71% of respondents surveyed for the report ranked data security and regulatory compliance as the top factor in determining where to provision their workloads. This was followed by performance at 62%, ease of management at 53%, and cost at 52%.
    • App developers today are circumventing IT: 57% of respondents said their developers are circumventing IT when it comes to deciding where applications run, putting the organization at potential risk.
    • Finding hybrid IT talent is difficult: With clear benefits to a hybrid model, respondents say scarcity of hybrid experts is a challenge, with 54% claiming talent retention is part of the problem.
    • EMEA is expected to surpass the Americas with hybrid cloud adoption: Regionally, the Americas reported greater use of hybrid clouds now (22%) and within 12 months’ time (31%). However, the two-year outlook has EMEA (43%) surpassing the Americas’ hybrid plans (39%) and APJ (39%) catching up.

“As enterprises demand stronger application mobility and interoperability, they are increasingly choosing hybrid cloud infrastructure,” said Ben Gibson, chief marketing officer for Nutanix. “While the advent of public cloud has increased IT efficiency in certain areas, hybrid cloud capabilities are the next step in providing the freedom to dynamically provision and manage applications based on business needs. However, the findings of this study reveal an important gap in the market: organizations need IT talent to manage their hybrid cloud models, especially in the next 12 to 24 months.”

*For the purposes of this study, hybrid cloud “describes the combined use of at least one private cloud and at least one public cloud service, with some degree of integration between the two cloud environments.”

  • Bugcrowd Disrupts the Multi-Billion Dollar Pen Test Market With Its Next Gen Pen Test Solution

Bugcrowd’s global Crowd of experienced pen testers and whitehat hackers help customers find 7x more critical vulnerabilities than traditional pen tests

SAN FRANCISCO – November 14, 2018 – Bugcrowd, the #1 crowdsourced security platform, today announced Bugcrowd Next Gen Pen Test, a new product with unique platform capabilities to meet organizations’ evolving security needs as attack surfaces grow at an accelerated pace. Bugcrowd helps  organizations around the world level the cybersecurity playing field by cost effectively harnessing the creativity of a global Crowd of trusted pen testers and whitehat hackers to identify vulnerabilities before adversaries – something you can’t get through traditional security testing alone.

Organizations spend  millions of dollars  a year today on compulsory  pen tests with minimal results and ROI. The  traditional pen test model incentivizes pen test providers to apply limited resources resources,  with limited depth of skills, on a limited schedule. According to a recent survey, nearly 60% of security leaders are highly dissatisfied with current penetration test efforts, with more than 70% reporting they do not believe their current penetration testing methodology uncovers high priority security vulnerabilities. In fact, according to Gartner’s June 2018 Emerging Technology Analysis: Bug Bounties and Crowdsourced Security Testing, pen testing “adds limited value in improving application security, and is out of step with DevSecOps-based approaches that rapidly iterate on applications.”

Bugcrowd Next Gen Pen Test is the only scalable model for sidestepping the operational handcuffs of traditional testing approaches. By leveraging a global Crowd of thousands of uniquely skilled and trusted pen testers, companies are able to rapidly build and incentivize the perfect team for every engagement – providing continuous testing, with less overhead, in less time, and with more predictable results. Bugcrowd Next Gen Pen Test goes a step above traditional pen testing to provide coverage assurance, comprehensive methodology and reporting, and deep integration into the software development lifecycle. Bugcrowd customers find more critical vulnerabilities with Next Gen Pen Test than traditional pen tests, dramatically improving their security posture.

“Planning a traditional penetration test is a painful process. There are a lot of hoops to jump through, not to mention, scoping is difficult and the methodology is strict,” said Richard Rushing, CISO, Motorola Mobility. “Bugcrowd Next Gen Pen Test leverages the crowdsourced security model to bring me 10x the security coverage needed for today’s application and the cost savings. You can’t beat it.”

“As I speak to CSOs around the world, they’re looking for better ways to protect their organizations than the traditional pen testing approaches that have not changed in more than 20 years – and have in fact failed to reduce overall security risk,” said Ashish Gupta, CEO, Bugcrowd. “The solution can only be addressed by a radical shift in pen test design, which lends itself exceptionally well to the crowdsourced security model. Bugcrowd Next Gen Pen Test brings together the needed variety of experience and technical specialization on an ongoing basis to handle the complexity of constantly changing attack surfaces companies will face in the coming years.”

Bugcrowd Next Gen Pen Test combines the continuity of 24/7/365 testing and the methodology and reporting needed to meet compliance and audit requirements. Included in Bugcrowd Next Gen Pen Test are unique platform capabilities, including:

    • CrowdMatch™: Unparalleled knowledge of the behaviors, performance, and skills of a crowd of thousands of uniquely skilled pen testers to rapidly and dynamically build the perfect team for every engagement.
    • BugHunter Methodology™: Proven approach to pen testing that brings together leading industry testing standards, such as OWASP Top 10, PCI, NIST, and others, with incremental tests from a hacker mindset to drive risk reduction and compliance.
    • ResearcherDirect™: Direct researcher engagement and oversight to foster relationships and knowledge through a secure portal not available via traditional pen testing.
    • Vulnerability Rating Taxonomy (VRT): A community-driven, open source guide provides quick ID of high priority vulnerabilities, reducing overhead.

  • Sysdig Now Available on AWS Marketplace

Sysdig solutions help enterprises monitor and secure cloud-native applications

SAN FRANCISCO, November 14, 2018–Sysdig, Inc., a cloud-native intelligence company, today announced that Sysdig is available on Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS) Marketplace. AWS customers can now purchase and deploy Sysdig Monitor, Sysdig Secure, and the entire Sysdig Cloud-Native Intelligence Platform directly through AWS Marketplace. Sysdig has created one of the first platforms to unify container security, monitoring, and forensics with native Kubernetes, Prometheus, and AWS services.

Enterprises that choose to purchase Sysdig through AWS Marketplace get the peace of mind of knowing that the two are easily deployable together and they can save time by simplifying tasks, including procurement and billing. This announcement comes on the heels of Sysdig being recognized as an Advanced Technology Partner in the AWS Partner Network (APN)and demonstrates the commitment by both companies to continue working together.

“Our customers want proven, easy-to-use, and reliable SaaS solutions to secure their environment and to prevent downtime or disruptions,” said Garth Fort, Director, AWS Marketplace and Catalog Services, Amazon Web Services, Inc. “Solutions that combine security and monitoring, like the Sysdig Cloud-Native Intelligence Platform, can simplify cloud-native operations, and we’re delighted to extend their availability to the 190,000 buyers using AWS Marketplace.”

For enterprises to be successful in deploying cloud-based infrastructure, they need the ability to monitor and secure their applications in real world, large-scale deployments. Effective container security and monitoring hinge on response teams being able to quickly detect, analyze, and respond to threats both during development and in live containers – from detection, to remediation, to forensics.

Sysdig monitors and secures at the container, host, and application level all from a low-resource, single point of instrumentation, which provides more data than other approaches. As enterprises continue to migrate business-critical workloads to AWS to take advantage of the scale and flexibility of cloud-native architectures, Sysdig can help enterprises avoid common operational pains, making the migration and production management easier. By pairing Sysdig with AWS, customers gain full visibility and protection into their environment, including applications, services, and hybrid environments.

“This is another step in our mission to drive container and microservices adoption. Sysdig is able to help enterprises take advantage of modern environments by giving users access to the data necessary to understand their environment, and then take action when something isn’t right,” said Loris Degioanni, Chief Technology Officer, Sysdig. “This new solution running on AWS simplifies the process for AWS users from beginning to end so that enterprises operating in the cloud can focus on delivering the ideal customer experience rather than tracking down and resolving problems.”

Sysdig will be demonstrating the Sysdig Cloud-Native Intelligence Platform at the upcoming AWS user conference, AWS re:Invent2018, happening November 26-30, 2018, in Las Vegas at Booth #281. Come meet the Sysdig team and learn more about how Sysdig is working with AWS and other APN Partners in order to make modern architectures more reliable and secure.
