  • Leading Healthcare Insurers and Providers Leverage Delphix To Accelerate Innovation In An Age Where Data Is New Healthcare Currency

    Over 30 of the world’s leading healthcare organizations—like Delta Dental of Michigan, Molina Healthcare, Alberta Blue Cross, and Trifecta—use Delphix solutions to accelerate innovation, drive growth in this $10 trillion market.

    SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., April 30, 2019:  Delphix, the company helping enterprises accelerate innovation through DataOps, today announced a major milestone for the company with the growing usage of the platform by leading healthcare organizations. Over 30 of the world’s most dynamic healthcare companies now use Delphix to deliver rapid and secure access to data to enable accelerated innovation and better experiences for their customers. The Delphix Dynamic Platform provides rapid data provisioning, secure data masking, and self-service data access while helping companies stay compliant with HIPAA and meet other sweeping data privacy regulations.

    Shifting Consumer Demands, New Funding Models, Heavy Compliance Burdens and Legacy Technology Stifle Innovation

    Digital transformation in the healthcare industry is evolving at an increasingly rapid pace. According to Deloitte’s 2019 Global Healthcare Outlook, enhancing the patient experience through transformational technologies is a top priority for leading healthcare providers. With rising consumer demands, the emergence of personalized medicine, and revamped payment and public funding models, the healthcare industry is at an inflection point for massive digital disruption.

    At the same time, the challenge of managing, securing and providing access to large volumes of patient data threatens to stifle innovation. Strict privacy laws such as HIPAA compound this issue even more and make it nearly impossible to innovate at the speed needed to remain competitive and meet ever-changing consumer demands. However, as the pain points of data management get worse, the current solutions for delivering data to developers, testers and analysts who are tasked with creating new applications, new risk assessment models, or new patient experiences simply aren’t cutting it. Without the right solutions:

    • Application development teams must wait days or even weeks to access data that supports continuous integration testing and continuous delivery;
    • Data analysts and data scientists are unable to analyze or train models on the most recent and most realistic data sets;
    • Compliance teams struggle to ensure that non-production data is as secure and compliant as production data.

    Delphix Enables Healthcare Companies To Embrace Continuous Innovation

    Delphix is the only comprehensive platform that empowers organizations to achieve continuous integration and continuous delivery, without sacrificing security.

    With Delphix, healthcare companies can:

    • Accelerate application releases by provisioning personal data environments for development and testing in minutes. This gives developers self-serve access and control over personal data environments.
    • Facilitate disruptive technologies by securely moving data and applications to the cloud. Enterprises have the ability to quickly provision high-quality data environments for AI/ML, implement value-based care analysis, and healthcare analytics;
    • Protect patient information by automatically identifying PII and PHI. Delphix helps to ensure that sensitive data is masked and meets compliance with HIPAA or other data privacy mandates.

    “As the world quickly shifts toward digital, the healthcare industry is experiencing a profound and wide-sweeping disruption. Our customers have the unique challenge of needing to innovate quickly in order to stay competitive while also managing heavily regulated, sensitive personal information,” said Chris Cook, Delphix CEO. “Delphix for Healthcare goes beyond the baseline needs of security and data management through rapid provisioning and self-service controls that fuel faster, smarter development—enabling organizations to deliver increasingly advanced solutions to their patients.”

    “The combination of Delphix and AWS gives us the agility we need to succeed in today’s application-driven economy. By easily and securely moving data to the cloud, we’re able to release new features to the market faster, while also lowering cost and risk,” said Shan Swaminathan, VP of Application Delivery and DevOps at leading dental benefits company Dentegra in this new eBook entitled, “Real Results: Modernizing Data Delivery and Security for Healthcare.”

  • Talend Leads Innovation for OpenAPI Visual Design Support

    Advancements to API Services deliver state-of-the-art compatibility with third-party technologies in the Spring ’19 release of Talend Data Fabric

    Redwood City, CA – April 30, 2019 – Talend (NASDAQ: TLND), a global leader in cloud data integration and data integrity, today announced support for OpenAPI specification (OAS) version 3.0 as part of its Spring ’19 release of Talend Data Fabric. The new API service advancements included with Talend Cloud provide full API development lifecycle support, enabling significant time savings in building and maintaining APIs in an integrated environment. This API foundation serves as a standard and scalable way for companies to make data available to more users inside and outside an organization and to create new products and services that can drive new business models, revenue, and profitability.

    “As a founding member of the OpenAPI Initiative, Talend continues to lead the innovation around visual API design,” said Jerome Louvel, VP of Product Management at Talend. “Given the growth of APIs driven by microservices and digital initiatives, support for an environment that increases DevOps teams’ productivity while enabling collaboration with less technical API stakeholders becomes critically important. With this release, we can also ensure that customers have a smooth upgrade path to OAS 3.0 from previous versions or alternative formats.”

    OAS 3.0 Support Drives Speed and Compatibility

    Talend Cloud is an integration platform-as-a-service (iPaaS) that makes it easy to collect, govern, transform, and share data. Highlights of OAS 3.0 support in Talend Cloud include:

    • Data type composition, e.g. merge different customer information (such as profile, contact and preferences into a unified view of a customer)
    • Data type polymorphism
    • Documentation of new security schemes (such as OpenID Connect or JWT)
    • Reusable API components (e.g. create a component that describes how to paginate results and use it across multiple API operations)

  • Archanan Announces Beta Launch of the Archanan Development Cloud, a Cloud-Based Developer Platform for Building and Testing Code at Scale

    Singapore, April 25, 2019 – Archanan Pte. Ltd., the premier provider of cloud-based development environments that help optimize large scale code development workflows through administering personal Integrated Development Environments that emulate an organization’s production system, virtualized in a cloud, today announced the launch of its beta program. The launch of the Archanan beta program makes the Archanan Development Cloud available for testing by supercomputing centers, enterprises, OEMs and other organizations involved with large scale computing and development. Organizations accepted into the beta test will explore the implementation of personalized virtual test environments based on an at scale emulation of their organizations’ production system(s) in the cloud, increasing the speed of development by eliminating organizational bottlenecks that result in long queues for test systems. Additionally, beta testers will be able to use the Archanan Development Cloud to custom construct system designs to test their codes on, demonstrating Archanan’s utility in the system architecting and commissioning process.

    “As high performance production systems continue to grow in scale and power, and technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, 5G, and IoT broaden data centers and extends compute to the edges, the development challenges that organizations face are growing with the scale of their systems,” said Alex Nodeland, CEO and Co-Founder of Archanan. “At Archanan, we believe that the virtually limitless resources available through cloud computing provides new avenues to explore for effective development practices in these ever-expanding environments. By virtualizing production systems and emulating them in the cloud, organizations are able to enact new and much more efficient ‘at scale’ development workflows that eliminate bottlenecks and the down time associated with development queues and port-over failures. The potential for significant gains in productivity combined with non-trivial reductions in TCO are well worth exploring – and only get more compelling as systems and networks increase in scale and complexity.”

    The Archanan Development Cloud
    Through its Archanan Development Cloud, Archanan helps organizations involved with large scale or distributed computing environments to enact productive, “at scale” development practices and create new efficient workflows that leverage the cloud for development and testing. Organizations can maximize system and organizational performance by employing a cloud-based testing environment, custom built to match the architecture of their production systems, using Archanan’s hardware-level virtualization.

    Development teams using the Archanan Development Cloud are empowered to develop and test code at scale before moving their code to live production systems, virtually eliminating port-over failures which delay production roll-outs and tie up physical test environments with lengthy debugging processes. Using the Archanan Development Cloud, organizations eliminate development queues that bottleneck progress by issuing developers individual development environments to develop and test their code at scale and recommission their existing development hardware to their production systems.

    “As developers on massively parallel systems ourselves, we have been very familiar with the frustrations of trying to make the code we develop on laptops and workstations scale to the level of an organization’s test system – all while trying to translate it to the even larger scale of the actual production system,” explained Lukasz Orlowski, Co-Founder and Chief Technical Officer at Archanan. “The launch of Archanan signifies what we think will be a lasting evolution in how code is developed and tested, leveraging the power of the cloud for emulating large scale systems. Computing is very expensive, and these costs prohibit innovation. By enabling developers to virtually construct systems and test their ideas without the impediments that physical development systems present, we aim to make developers lives easier, more creative and more productive.”

    Archanan, which raised a SGD$1.2 M seed round in February 2019, currently has several partnerships in play with both OEMs and well-known supercomputing centers. With the launch of the beta, the company plans to explore engagements with organizations that have large scale production systems where teams of programmers are faced with test system queues that create development delays and stifle innovation. Archanan will work with beta partners to reproduce and emulate their production system, develop and streamline workflows, and empower development teams with customizable development environments that extend the power of their workstations and enable them to develop code at scale.

    “One of the primary reasons why more organizations, especially in the commercial space, aren’t utilizing the power of modern supercomputers, is the considerable challenges of effective coding at these larger, more complex scales – there is a big gap between a laptop and that of a remote, giant collection of distributed, interconnected processors,” said John Gustafson, luminary computer scientist, inventor of Gustafson’s Law, and Visiting Scientist at A*STAR – Agency for Science, Technology and Research . “There has long been talk of contemporary supercomputers being broadly utilized and reaching the industry masses, however this reality has been elusive. By combining hardware-level virtualization and cloud computing, Archanan has figured out how to bridge both the technical, but also economical gaps that have presented adoption challenges for computing at this level. It’s exciting to see that we’re on the precipice of the democratization of high-performance computing across industries, at last.”

    “The advent of the Archanan Development Cloud should not be understated when considering the innovation that it is bringing at this critical time in the development in high-end computing, where AI and distributed data generation is creating increasingly highly-complex computing architectures,” explained Wolfgang Gentzsch, Co-founder and CEO of The UberCloud. “Virtually all the software development tools in high-end, complex computing are used on desktop workstations and laptops, drastically limiting the development and debugging capability of these tools – it’s analogous to trying to recreate a masterpiece on an Etch-a-Sketch. Archanan’s cloud-based development platform extends these workstations and lets developers construct their code at scale, as if they were doing it directly on these large, complex architectures, thus creating better quality software in shorter time.”

    About Archanan Pte. Ltd.
    Archanan is the premier provider of personal, at scale, cloud-based development environments that virtualize and emulate an organization’s production system, thus eliminating organizational bottlenecks in programming development and speeding time to results. Using Archanan Development Cloud, programmers can develop and test their code on virtualized systems that emulate their organization’s production environment, empowering them to code at scale from any laptop or workstation. The report identifies the functionalities Intelligent Application and Service Monitoring (IASM) solutions should provide, as well as the 13 most significant solution providers in the market.

    According to the report: “Devo’s Data Operations Platform can provide ‘outside in’ user experience monitoring by enriching traditional monitoring data with business data. The product supports combining outcomes-based data (e.g. sales conversion rates, shopping cart abandonments) with traditional technology metrics (e.g. server, application, network performance). Devo’s advanced algorithm-driven architecture allows for searching unlimited amounts of historical data and correlating it with real-time streaming data.”

    “We believe our recognition as a strong performer in this Wave validates our approach that traditional technology metrics must be enriched with business data to give customers the full application picture,” said Walter Scott, CEO, Devo. “We’re thrilled Forrester Research has, in our opinion, recognized both our growth in the intelligent application and service monitoring space and our advanced algorithm-driven architecture. We look forward to continuing to make it easy for customer-obsessed, data-at-scale enterprises to monitor the user experience of their business-critical applications and services.”

    The report also states Devo boasts some unique features to address changing data formats and augment search results with real-time data enrichment, correlation and aggregation. Customers praise Devo for providing fast response times to issues and also feel they have a lot to say in product enhancements.

    Devo received the highest scores possible in eight criteria, including services and container monitoring; data preparation; data sources and data capacity; metrics; tooling and automation; and security and compliance.
